SCROLL DOWN FOR MENTORING INFORMATION

The next Guild activity is:

SUNDAY, August 17TH (RAIN OR SHINE)

Our ANNUAL FAMILY PICNIC and SWAP MEET at the Royal Oak VFW Park at the corner of Lincoln (10 1/2 mile road) and Campbell.  See our August newsletter for a map. Swap meet starts at noon, food at 1:00, drawings at 2:00, and games all afternoon.  The SWAP MEET is for anyone who has any tools, materials, or machines they no longer want to sell or trade them.

We are still looking for a contractors style table saw that we can use at our September meeting.  If you have one that can be comparatively easy to transport, let Bill Gayde know.

MENTORING SESSIONS (MEMBERS ONLY)

Ed Burger's Mentoring Program

If you are a beginning woodworker or need a little refresher, just look to our mentoring program.  A perfect place to start is in Ed's shop.  For about 2 hours of your time, Ed will show you how to make a small clock (2"x 5"x 5").  It is made from a piece of 3/4" stock (either yours or his).  You will use a band saw, drill press, belt and spindle sander, and biscuit joiner.

Call Ed at 313-533-8538 to set up a session.  His shop is located in the 5 Mile and Beech Daly area
